Applications for the College

Applications for the Diploma in Police Studies are accepted all year round. To become a police officer in Finland it is necessary to complete the Diploma in Police Studies, which means attending the Police College of Finland in Tampere. Application requirements include e.g. Finnish citizenship. The College is not part of the national joint application procedure for higher education establishments.

Applications may be made for advanced training and further training once the Diploma in Police Studies has been completed. The Police College also arranges security training courses that are open to everyone and subject to charge. These include courses for instructors who provide training for security staff.
